WLW Meeting 10/06/2014

WLW Meeting 10/06/2014This week saw a great turn out of 10 people including the return of Susi – our former secretary who hasn’t been along to one of our meetings for a while. Welcome back Susi!

This Week’s News

Thank you to everyone who came along to our From A Blank Page to the Written Word Workshop on Sunday. It was a great day. We’ll be holding a second workshop on the 6th of September so put the date in your diary now!

One thing that came up on Sunday was a mention of the Scottish Book Trust‘s Scotland’s Stories of Home competition. In less than a 1000 words they want you to write about your memories of home. The competition closes on the 30th of June. You can find all the information you need about Scotland’s Stories of Home by clicking here.

Finally Stephen got his story Forest of Cloth published in [untitled] IV. Well done Stephen! He’ll bring copies of [untitled] IV to our next meeting.

When I got home I found an email from Curtis Brown Creative. They are running their first creative writing course in Scotland. Running from the 23rd of September till the 16th of December you can find out more about the course here.

This Week’s Writing
